Our experienced team are honest and pragmatic and are confident that a professional screening could make the difference between missing out and achieving greatness. Nicholson School of Dance assessments involve an assessment class and report from myself on an individual basis at the studios. Physical assessments take place with Phil Birch at Dance Clinic, Carver St.

Nicholson School Of Dance works closely with Dance Clinic. To gain the most out of your assessment it is recommended that you have a ballet assessment which includes a written report, plus a physical screening. A bespoke conditioning programme is then offered to you if needed.

Thank you so much for your detailed screening report. Emily read every sentence with great interest and is very much looking forward to working hard on Tuesday.

Emily never had the opportunity like this before to be so well assessed and commented on her strengths and parts she has to work on to improve so we are extremely thankful for that, very much appreciated.

Thank you for the report,  it was very constructive, so thank you for that and my daughter enjoyed her time with you. 

We saw Phil on Friday, he has re-aligned her hips, back and shoulders, she is a lot straighter and Phil has given her some strengthening exercises working with your report. She will see Phil again in 8 weeks or earlier, depending on how she progresses over the time. She is working with the exercises and the report and open to any recommendations going forward.

A fantastic afternoon with three very knowledgeable professionals. We feel very reassured that our daughter has the potential to pursue her dance dreams and we have been given very clear steps for her to work on to achieve her goals. A very useful service for anyone who wants to improve their chances in such a competitive arena. Particularly useful for us non-dancing parents! Thank you.

On Sunday we took our son who is 11 years old to the Dance Clinic Performance Screening session at the Nicholson school of dance, the itinerary of the session was explained to us, and off he went into a ballet class to be observed by Annette, Phil & Darryl. After he was examined by Phil who to our amazement diagnosed a couple of underlying injuries he had been carrying, Phil was great with him and made him feel really at ease and calmed any worries that we had with his vast knowledge of the industry he is in, we then observed Darryl teaching him ways to make the weaker areas of his body stronger and putting a training plan in place. Finally a chat with Annette about ways to improve his ballet and we were done ..... All in all a really interesting morning I think we all came away having learnt lots and were amazed at how well all these things will work together to give him the best chance to reach his potential
